This is the letter Amazon CEO Andy Jassy sent internally on latest update on return to office and manager team ratio. From the original letter I just removed the no sense bla-bla. (Full letter link in comment)Amazon is frequently seen as a business benchmark, though, this time, it might be wiser not to use them as an example, given the harshness of their approach and the lack of depth in their substance. Still, I’ll leave that for you to decide."Hey team. I wanted to send a note on a couple changes we’re making. For perspective, I feel good about the progress we’re making together and the investment in areas like GenAI.We want to operate like the world’s largest startup and you need to be joined at the hip with your teammates when inventing and solving hard problems.1) We have grown our teams as quickly and substantially as we have the last many years, we have understandably added a lot of managers and more layers than we had before. So, we’re asking each s-team organization to increase the ratio of individual contributors to managers by at least 15% by the end of Q1 2025.2) We’ve decided that we’re going to return to being in the office the way we were before the onset of COVID.Collaborating, brainstorming, and inventing are simpler and more effective this way. We understand that some of our teammates will require some adjustments. To help ensure a smooth transition, we’re going to make this new expectation active on January 2, 2025I’m optimistic that these changes will better help us strengthening our culture and the effectiveness of our teams. Thanks,Andy

Even though he won 82% of his 1,526 singles matches, he reveals that he only won 54% of the points played. That means even one of the greatest tennis players lost nearly half the points! Federer emphasizes that we shouldn't get stuck on mistakes or missed shots. Instead, focus on the next point with full energy and a clear mind. His down-to-earth message reminds us that in any area of life, facing failures is normal. What really counts is how you move past them and keep pushing forward. #Leadfromwhereyouare#weekendreflection#Coachingmindset#InternationalCoachingFederation

Will GPS ever have a heart? It’s still quite busy here on the French Riviera. As I left the office, I was met with the usual scene—traffic everywhere, cars stuck in every direction. It was one of those moments when you really rely on the GPS to guide you. I checked for the most recommended route, but there wasn’t much of a difference—just a few minutes apart, one route even toll-free. Not exactly exciting. So, I made a different choice. I took a route that led me up into the hills, a bit longer in distance and uncertain in time. But, for once, I didn’t care about the time.It turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I found myself driving through paths I didn’t even remember, past medieval villages, majestic trees in magical forests, and breathtaking panoramas. The colors, the light—everything felt new, like I was seeing it for the first time. I cranked up the music, loud enough to drown out the world. But of course, the GPS wasn’t happy—"Make a U-turn in 200 meters," it kept repeating. I’m pretty sure it meant, “You idiot!” Eventually, I turned it off.In that quiet moment, I wondered: Will there ever be a GPS that suggests more than just the fastest route? One that knows when to take you down the scenic road, when to invite you to pause and feel something deeper? Will technology one day blend with human emotion, with the need for more than efficiency? Perhaps that’s the real evolution we need—something that not only guides us but connects with the heart.#throughcustomerseyes #customerexperience#Travellerexperience#MemorableJourney🔔 Follow me on LinkedIn for more Readings & Stories about Customer Experience ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eRNX7eCh

It’s a very rainy day—perfect weather for staying in and enjoying the Paralympic Games. As I watch, I can’t stop thinking about the incredible energy these athletes radiate. They make what seems unimaginable to many of us feel so natural, so normal. The rain taps on the window, the occasional rumble of thunder mixes with the sounds of the athletes on TV—shouts of encouragement, the intensity of the competition, the crowd’s support from the sidelines. The commentators are like anchors in this storm, guiding us through every move, explaining the details, but it’s the athletes who truly steal the show. They’re the ones creating this silent yet powerful noise that fills the house. There’s something deeply emotional about watching these individuals push themselves beyond limits most of us can’t even fathom. Leaving me with one thought: if they can turn the impossible into reality, what excuse do the rest of us have?#Coachingmindset

About happiness I always enjoy reading Gian Maria Zapelli’s reflections. His piece on happiness dives deep into how we often hesitate to dream of joy out of fear of its loss. Gian Maria argues that we tend to protect ourselves from disappointment by not imagining happiness at all, choosing safety over aspiration. He suggests that happiness should not be seen as something to own or hold onto but as a process of inner transformation. By focusing on who we are becoming rather than what we acquire, he believes we can cultivate a more enduring, meaningful sense of fulfillment.Read the full article here https://lnkd.in/eZ6Vmj4m#Leadfromwhereyouare #weekendreflection #Coachingmindset #InternationalCoachingFederation

Imagine standing in front of a mirror and asking yourself, for example: - How happy I am with the direction my life is heading? - What things or habits can I remove from my bag? - How do I feel about the person I am becoming? Then, you look at your reflection and try to give a clear answer. As you observe your reflection’s reaction, subtle changes in your face might reveal emotions you’ve been avoiding—doubt, relief, or even uncertainty. This is the core of mirror work, a practice introduced by Louise Hay. Engaging directly with our reflection brings inner dialogue to the surface, making it more real and harder to avoid. Watching how our reflection reacts forces us to confront us true emotions and the weight of our choices. We don’t need much time to make this a daily practice. And not necessarily need to be always esistential questions. Few seconds while brushing our teeth, sometime even just smiling to ourselves can create a shift.#Leadfromwhereyouare #weekendreflection #Coachingmindset #InternationalCoachingFederation

The Bialetti coffee maker (Moka) designed by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933, is much more than a simple object of design. With its elegant and futuristic shape, it has become a world-renowned icon, not only found in the kitchens of millions but also featured in prestigious permanent collections like those of the Triennale in Milan and the MoMA in New York. The Bialetti Moka embodies the principles of rationalist design: humble, functional, and accessible to all, with a modest price and durability that defies time. It knows no planned obsolescence and can stay with you for decades, offering the same familiar whistle every morning and the unmistakable aroma of freshly brewed coffee, capable of evoking an inexplicable sense of joy. This is what goes beyond the mere function of an object: the Bialetti is scent, memory, sound. An experience repeated every day, infusing life and warmth into an object that only appears to be inanimate.#throughcustomerseyes #customerexperience#Travellerexperience#MemorableJourney🔔 Follow me on LinkedIn for more Readings & Stories about Customer Experience ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eRNX7eCh
